Carmel's commercial real estate area revolves around two distinct areas.
The downtown core of Carmel-By-The Sea, a quaint city in the forest with a one mile long pure white sandy beach. This area is renowned for its intimate charm, small hotels, fine dining and shopping.
Secondly there is the unincorporated area of Carmel which is much larger and is centered around the intersection of Highway 1 and Carmel Valley Road. Frequently referred to as the "mouth of the valley", it is comprised of several shopping centers with larger retail zones and commercial office space.
